The Perfect Analogue Upgrade: Adding a Brinkmann Bardo Turntable

Our client, who had previously invested in a Moon by Sim Audio 791 & 761 and Audio Vector R3 speakers, wanted to elevate their system beyond digital streaming through the 791. They envisioned the ultimate analogue setup, and after an initial demonstration and consultation showcasing the potential of what a high-end turntable could offer, the decision was to incorporate the Brinkmann Bardo turntable with a Dynavector XX2A Cartridge.
Seamless Integration into an Existing System
To accommodate this addition, we had to install an extra shelf onto the client’s existing Neo Quattron rack, ensuring a stable and resonance-free foundation for the turntable. The Brinkmann Bardo, known for its magnetic direct-drive design and remarkable clarity and expression. This turntable is an audiophile’s dream, offering excellent speed stability, deep musicality, and an effortless connection to the music. The Dynavector XX2A Cartridge, known for its tracking ability and dynamic range, complements the Bardo perfectly, extracting every last nuance from the client’s vinyl collection.
To maximise performance, we incorporated Shunyata cables, ensuring optimal signal integrity and noise reduction. These premium cables help deliver the full potential of the system by refining detail retrieval and improving the overall sense of space within the music. The system was then seamlessly connected to the client’s existing setup, allowing for a unified and highly efficient signal chain. By maintaining synergy between all components, we ensured that the full capabilities of the turntable, streamer & amplification chain were realised.
The Final Result: A Fully Realised High-End System
With the Brinkmann Bardo now in place, the system had reached a whole new level. The Moon by Sim Audio 791 & 761 already offered exceptional transparency and control, while the Audio Vector R3 speakers provided an engaging and dynamic soundstage. The addition of the Bardo has introduced an organic, lifelike quality to the customers vinyl collection, which now play with a sense of realism, texture, and depth.
