Acoustic Energy AE300 Mk2 Standmount Speakers

£649.00

The Acoustic Energy AE300 Mk2 takes one of the brand’s most popular standmount speakers and refines it into something more mature, more natural, and more controlled. While it retains the familiar compact form and easy usability of the original, almost every part of the design has been rethought, drawing influence from Acoustic Energy’s flagship Corinium project.

The biggest upgrade comes from the completely new drive units. The mid bass driver now uses a paper and coconut fibre composite cone, replacing the older aluminium design. This brings a warmer, more natural midrange with improved texture and realism, while still keeping the speed and punch AE is known for. The new soft dome tweeter also smooths out the top end, delivering a more refined and less forward presentation with better integration across the frequency range.

The cabinet has been significantly improved too, now featuring Acoustic Energy’s RSC resonance control structure. This reduces unwanted coloration and allows more detail to come through, improving clarity, imaging, and low level resolution. Overall, the AE300 Mk2 sounds more balanced and composed than the original, with tighter bass, cleaner detail, and a more effortless, musical character that feels like a genuine step up in refinement.
