Audiovector R5 Arreté Floorstanding Speakers
Built, engineered, and hand finished in Denmark, the R 5 Arreté is not just another addition to the R Series. It represents a carefully considered step forward, bringing genuine flagship thinking into a design that is more versatile and accessible for real world listening spaces. It is also the first model to inherit key technologies directly from the flagship R 10 Arreté, and that lineage is immediately felt in its performance from the very first note. The driver platform itself is derived from the R 10 architecture, carrying over core design principles focused on ultra low distortion, speed, and absolute control. Every element has been developed to work in harmony, with a strong emphasis on transient accuracy, dynamic freedom, and maintaining musical integrity at all volume levels. The result is a level of coherence and refinement that feels unusually close to the flagship experience, but in a form that is designed to integrate more naturally into a wider range of rooms and systems.
At its core, the R 5 Arreté is designed around balance. A true 3.5 way architecture ensures every driver operates exactly where it performs best. Two bass drivers work with purpose, one handling the full bass range while the other focuses purely on the lowest frequencies, creating a foundation that is both powerful and controlled. The midrange remains open, fast, and completely uncoloured, allowing vocals and instruments to breathe naturally. At the top end, Audiovector’s latest Air Motion Transformer tweeter pushes far beyond what we hear, reaching up to 53,000 Hz, but more importantly, delivering speed and micro detail that you feel as much as you hear.
What truly sets the R 5 Arreté apart is how all of Audiovector’s latest technologies come together. The new Soundstage Enhancement Concept expands the presentation beyond the cabinets, creating width, depth, and a stable, lifelike image. New innovations such as the Accelerated Force Concept and Low Compression Concept ensure the drivers react instantly, free from unwanted resistance or pressure. This is further reinforced by the new principles of No Energy Storage and No Standing Waves, ensuring that transient information is not smeared or held back, allowing music to start and stop with complete precision. The Diffraction Control Concept helps maintain focus and spatial accuracy, while NCS Molecular Realignment introduces a new level of internal material optimisation, further reducing distortion and improving clarity.
Add to this the second generation Freedom Grounding Concept, which lowers noise and reveals even finer detail, and you begin to understand the level of refinement on offer. Every element has been considered, right down to the adjustable damping factor setting for amplifier matching, allowing precise optimisation whether paired with transistor, high power solid state, or valve amplification. The precision engineered plinth, with integrated decoupling, removes resonance at its source to maintain absolute stability.
Visually, the R 5 Arreté carries the same sense of craftsmanship as its sound. High density wood cabinets are finished to an exceptional standard, available in a range of elegant finishes, with custom options on request. It is a speaker designed not just to be heard, but to live with.
The result is simple. Flagship performance, distilled into a form that fits effortlessly into real spaces. The Audiovector R 5 Arreté does not just play music. It fills the room with it, with a sense of control, scale, and emotion that feels far greater than its size suggests. Expected availability is July 2026.
